I worked at Camp HASC (Hebrew Academy for Special Children) for four summers (2012 - 2015) as part of the recreational programming team. My responsibilities over the years included designing and implementing adaptive activities for over 300 campers with varying abilities and special needs, as well as brainstorming, evaluating, and crafting playful experiences and aesthetic ambiance corresponding to designated themes. In addition to emphasizing camper-experience in our design process, we carefully considered counselor-experience as we produced scalable activities with counselors as primary facilitators. Responsible for creating an atmosphere of fun for campers and counselors alike, I enhanced our programming with self-designed face paint, costumes, and a spirit of adventure.
