I’m Estee Ellis, a Philadelphia, PA based artist with interests in human-centered design and education, visual storytelling, and interactive media.
I graduated from University of Pennsylvania in May of 2017 with a BA in Visual Studies and a minor in Cognitive Science. Through these interdisciplinary tracks, I analyzed and integrated the many experiences related to sight, including image production and image consumption. I've had the opportunity to hone my skills in illustration, design, animation, and interactive media, augmented by my studies of philosophy, psychology, and pedagogy. As both an undergrad and recent graduate, I assisted research in Penn’s Graduate School of Education with Professor Yasmin Kafai and Professor Deborah Fields (Utah State University), studying the educational experiences of online communities.
I approach challenges with an eager and open mind, creative perspective, and an iterative design process. Teamwork and collaboration are central to my workflow. I support learning through engagement, and I believe in the richness of play and surprises. Most importantly, I strive to bring visions to life and to share experiences with others.
